Wow I’ve never had muscles in my arms before. It’s pretty exciting.
So the past ten days I’ve been somewhere near Escalante, Utah. Somewhere with tons of aspen trees (did you know they’re all connected? Like their roots? So basically it was just one aspen tree. pretty nifty huh) and cows, deer, turkeys, and reservoirs. We built a bunch of check steps and drains, etc. What an interesting crew it was, the four of us. I enjoyed it mostly. And the parts I didn’t enjoy taught me patience. But boy was it good to come home and be around other people, and also, it is nice to have a bathroom. Soooo nice. Although being covered in dirt isn’t so bad, showers feel pretty good.

We cleared the area around this campsite, behind us is the giant slash pile that we set aside to be burned in the winter. We also made an equally giant firewood pile for the campers. Too bad you can’t tell by the picture how giant this pile is. What a fun day. Got covered in sap.
What a sense of accomplishment, but at same time I don’t know how many people actually come here, besides hunters, because it’s way the heck out in the middle of nowhere. I think I’d go stir crazy if I had to live in a small po-dunk town like Panquitch.
