I was thinking I should post stuff about my summer job in here. We just finished training last week, and I can tell it’s going to be a good times summer. Like, today I got to use a tiller! What a beast. I also hacked weeds (think I murdered a few earthworms, felt so terrible) and leveled ground with a mccloud. But during lunch break it started to hail like a mother so we decided to call it a day, and I was like, too bad (except it was good to go home because my clothes were super wet, like I’d jumped into a pond) . Maybe eventually I’ll get tired of manual labor — but so far this is the happiest job I’ve ever had.
I’m always grinning like an idiot.
Here’s a few pictures from our camping trip last week to Willow Flats in Idaho.

campfire buddies
There were about 30 of us at this big campground. Hiking, using port-o-potties, cooking refried beans over a campstove, playing that one team-building game where you all join hands and then you have to untangle yourself, man it was good times with good people.

my view of the river
I don’t know if this picture worked, but it’s supposed to be a shot of my legs hanging over a log bridge.

the secret spot ampitheater
I found this secret spot and got some people to come explore it with me. There’s a sweet heavenly ampitheater and this guy Carl put on a one-man show, condensed versions of all our favorite musicals.

steggie about to meet his doom, but look out! for the dump truck!
Some kid left his toys at the campfire. Man I love that fire smell.
